School of Language Literature and Culture Studies (SLL & CS) of Jawaharlal Nehru University and Istanbul Foundation for Science and Culture (IFSC) are organizing a Panel (Seminar) on Nursi Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India on 13th of February, 2014 in the Committee Room 212 of School of Language Literature and Culture Studies (SLL & CS) by 2:00pm to 5:00pm. We are pleased to inform all students and intellectuals that the Seminar Topic will be “An Introduction to Said Nursi”. The Lecture will be delivered by three Professors from different countries- Dr. Özgür Koca, Claremont Lincoln University, USA, Dr. Furkan Aydıner, King Saud Universty, Saudi Arabia and Prof. Zikrur Rahman, Director of India – Arab Cultural Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia, India.
The purpose of the Seminar will be to establish dialogues among intellectuals and students, to share the knowledge, to explore the obstacles and challenges of modern Society and to recognize the core problem of human beings with the help of tool of Nursi’s “Recognition Theory” which mainly focuses on individual purification. There will be also a small 15 minutes screening about Said Nursi and after each presentation will be round-table discussions.
