East Javan Academics Visit Our Foundation

A committee of academics from the Sunan Ampel State Islamic University, Indonesia paid a visit to our foundation earlier this month.


Sunan Ampel State Islamic University, which is based in the city of Surabaya in East Java, recently brought a cadre of academics ( headed by Assistant Rector Prof. Dr. H. Ma'shum Nur Alim)  to the Istanbul Foundation for Science and Culture for a meeting and roundtable discussions. The Assistant Rector gave a talk about the general nature of the faculties at his university as well as giving an overview of the education system employed by the university. The Executive President of our Foundation, Mr. Said Yüce, gave a talk about the general international activities that the IFSC conducts (including international seminars and symposiums) and he also mentioned the recent IFSC trip to several Indonesian universities and educational institutions back in August this year.

Assistant Rector Prof. Nur Alim also expressed his intention to host a symposium at his university in 2020 on the economic concept of "Iktisad" according to Bediuzzaman Said Nursi. 

 At the end of the meetings there was a gift-giving ceremony where Executive President Said Yüce gave the visiting academics several copies of The Flashes from the Risale-i Nur Collection as well as the "Iktisat" edition of our peer-reviewed in-house journal Katre.
