Bediuzzaman Said Nursi Was A True Follower Of Our Prophet
Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khizir Hayat Khan, Ministry Of Religious Affairs, Bangladesh
I express my deepest gratitude to Almighty Allah for His Blessings which enabled me to participate in this auspicious programme. I also offer salat on our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and salam on other other messengers and prophets of Allah.
At the beginning of my speech may I have the honour to thank Istanbul Foundation for Science and Culture for organizing such a magnificent programme and giving me an opportunity to say a few words in front of you.
Bediuzzaman Said Nursi understood it correctly that Muslims are suffering from various problems for which the only reason being non-adherence to the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah and as such throughout his writings he emphasized on firm belief in Allah under all circumstances and to comply with the Sunnah.
The Prophet (pbuh) in his farewell Hajj address gave the same advice to his followers.
As a follower of our Prophet (pbuh), Nursi played his role to the best of his ability to call people to adhere to the divine Revelation and Sunnah for the welfare in this world and in the hereafter.
It is virtually impossible in my part to discuss within so limited time and words the attributes of this great Islamic scholar.
I believe the works of Said Nursi are an invaluable asset and a very rich material for research for the whole Muslim Ummah. We believe in the importance of the Risale-i Nur for the people of Bangladesh and published one of Said Nursi’s works, Message fort he Sick, in Bengal language. May Allah accept his good deeds and grant him virtues in Exchange till the day of Resurrection and reward him with a highly dignified status in the hereafter.
