The First Works of the "From Art to Tawhid" Program Have Been Released!
The first works prepared as part of the From Art to Tawhid Program have been unveiled to listeners. This special initiative features two poems set to music and presented to art enthusiasts.
The first piece, Don’t Call Me Back to the World, is inspired by a meaningful event involving Said Halim Pasha, one of the prominent figures of the late Ottoman period, before his exile to Malta in 1919. Prior to his departure, Said Halim Pasha offered the deed of his Bosphorus mansion to his close friend Bediuzzaman Said Nursi, intending it to be used for future services. In response, Bediuzzaman penned these poetic lines.
The second piece reflects a deeply personal period in the life of Mustafa Özsoy. During his time as a primary school teacher, Özsoy encountered the Risale-i Nur collection and had the opportunity to visit Bediuzzaman Said Nursi several times. In 1960, upon learning of Bediuzzaman's passing, he was overcome with grief and often shed tears. In this emotional period, Özsoy had a dream in which Bediuzzaman consoled him with these words: “My child, don’t weep! My passing will serve even more than my life.” This heartfelt experience and the transformative impact of the Risale-i Nur form the essence of the poem.
