Registration Now Open for the 8th and 9th Istanbul Workshop: 5D Thinking for Transformative Teaching
Last summer, the sixth and seventh editions of the workshop “Istanbul Workshop: 5D Thinking for Transformative Teaching,” organized in collaboration with The Institute of Integrated Knowledge (IIK), were successfully completed. The eighth and ninth editions of this workshop will be held twice in December 2025 and January 2026. The first session will take place on December 22–26, 2025, and the second on January 11–15, 2026.
The program aims to teach the fundamentals of the 5D Thinking Approach, which has been developed as an alternative to the secular education system through a Tawhidi perspective. Bringing together educators from different parts of the world, the workshop continues to offer a new epistemological framework that goes beyond the dominant secular mindset in science education. Within this framework, educators are introduced to a philosophy of science rooted in the Tawhidi worldview through the use of the 5D Thinking Approach.
One of the most valuable components of educational institutions is their teaching faculty, and the character development of students lies directly within the responsibility of teachers. However, both in the Muslim world and in the West, secular ideologies embedded in curricula have led to existential crises among some intellectuals. Therefore, the efforts of institutions in the Muslim world that focus on character development and Islamization are seen as signs of a new awakening in education.
At the same time, teaching science from a Tawhidi perspective requires more than faith and character development; it also demands awareness of materialist ideologies and the development of a clear methodology for teaching science through a holistic Tawhidi framework. These workshops are designed to respond to this need and to equip participants with the necessary intellectual and pedagogical tools to meet this challenge.
In this regard, we invite all teachers, academics, and educational institutions aiming to develop an Islamic perspective in education to join these distinguished programs taking place in December and January.
