Volume 10 / Issue 20 presents a wide thematic spectrum ranging from classical text analyses to modern literary interpretations, and from intellectual history studies to discussions on education and culture. The articles, which address issues related to humanity and society with historical depth, theoretical coherence, and a critical perspective, stand out as one of the defining strengths of this issue.

Some of the articles featured in this issue include:

Taha Çakır (Bursa Uludağ University) examines the rhetorical devices (badīʿ arts) attributed by Ibn Abī al-Iṣbāʿ to himself in Taḥrīr al-Taḥbīr and Badīʿ al-Qurʾān, analysing their definitions and examples within the framework of the classical Arabic rhetoric tradition.

Dr. Rabia Nur Akmaz offers a comprehensive analysis in the field of philosophical anthropology by comparatively examining the conceptions of humanity developed by Takiyettin Mengüşoğlu and Nurettin Topçu.

Dr. Samet Hekimoğlu (Ordu University) explores the aesthetic and semantic layers of three poems shaped around the nightingale (bülbül) motif in classical Turkish poetry through a comparative approach.

Dr. Yusuf Sabri Şimşek analyses the intellectual production of Ottoman bureaucratic elites from a historical perspective by focusing on the authorship and translation activities of Ottoman Ministers of Education (Maârif Nâzırları).

Dr. Abdulhamit Akın (Boğaziçi University) presents an in-depth literary analysis of modern Turkish literature by examining the themes of bodily and internal domination in Yaşar Kemal’s short story Sarı Sıcak.

The issue also includes a review article authored by Prof. Dr. Burhan Akpınar (Fırat University), which discusses the intellectual roots of the concept of maarif (education) and its potential within indigenous intellectual traditions.

In his “From the Editor” note, Editor-in-Chief Prof. Dr. Bayram Özer emphasises that Katre Journal continues to uphold its publication policy grounded in scholarly rigour, methodological soundness, and critical thinking.
