In Cairo, the Miraculousness of the Qur'an and Contemporary Issues Were Addressed
In Cairo, the capital of Egypt, the international workshop titled “Scientific Miraculousness and Contemporary Issues, Future Perspective,” jointly organized by the International Center for Da’wah and Relief (IICDR) and the Istanbul Foundation for Science and Culture (IIKV), brought together important figures from the world of science and thought.

Speaking at the program, IICDR President Prof. Dr. Abdullah El Muslih made significant evaluations regarding the miraculousness (i’jaz) of the Qur'an. Prof. Dr. El Muslih emphasized that in the last century of Turkey, the Risale-i Nur has performed a very great and undeniable service in the preservation of the truths of the Qur'an and faith.

Prof. Dr. Muhammed Geylani, a faculty member of the Department of Kalam and Philosophy at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif University, took the floor during the workshop and drew attention to the relationship between science and knowledge (marifat), pointing to the ultimate goal of knowledge with the words: “Knowledge that does not lead to Marifatullah (the knowledge of Allah) is nothing but ignorance.”

The meeting was attended by the former Rector of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Hudhud, faculty members of Al-Azhar University, members of the Fatwa Committee of the Egyptian Dar al-Ifta, and representatives of the Egyptian Ministry of Education.

Said Yüce, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Istanbul Foundation for Science and Culture, also participated in the workshop. Within the scope of the program, participants were invited to the 13th International Bediuzzaman Symposium, which will be held in Istanbul on October 4–5 next year.

The workshop, conducted with an international character, was completed as a productive scientific platform where the miraculousness of the Qur'an, contemporary issues, and perspectives on the future were addressed.
