International Risale-i Nur Reading Program Launched at the Istanbul Foundation for Knowledge and Culture
On 02 February 2026, the opening session of a six-day Risale-i Nur Reading Program was held at the Istanbul Foundation for Science and Culture. The program was attended by a delegation from Darusselam (Gontor) University in Indonesia, consisting of approximately thirteen university students and three faculty members.
This program is part of a continuing series of initiatives organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Knowledge and Culture with the aim of introducing the Risale-i Nur to different countries around the world. Academics, researchers, and students of knowledge from various disciplines within religious and scholarly fields participated in the program.

Representing Darusselam (Gontor) University, the following members of the academic delegation took part in the program:

Dr. Firda Inayah,
Dr. Ahmad Ridha Hutama Al-Faruqi.
On behalf of the Istanbul Foundation for Knowledge and Culture, the participants included:
Doç. Dr. Ünal Akyüz, President of the Civilization Institute of the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Sciences, and Dr. İsam Bayati.

Throughout the program, the method of invitation (da‘wah) in the Risale-i Nur is discussed, with particular emphasis placed on the principle of positive action (müsbet hareket). In addition, the relationship between the Risale-i Nur and the Qur’an al-Karim and the Prophetic Sunnah is examined. The program offers participants the opportunity to gain a clearer and deeper understanding of the Risale-i Nur and aims to strengthen academic ties between the university and the foundation.
