Protection and Processing of Personal Data

Your personal data may be processed by the person responsible of the data at the Istanbul Foundation for Science and Culture ( IFSC or the Foundation ) according to the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ( Law ).
2. Purpose of Processing Your Personal Data
Your collected personal data may be processed by the IFSC for the purposes in accordance with the basic principles stipulated by the Law and in accordance with the personal data processing requirements and purposes set out in Articles 5 and 6 of the Act:
- In order to plann and execute human resources policies and processes of the Foundation
- In order to carry out work done by our business units and related business processes to enable the concerned persons to benefit from the services provided by the Foundation
- To plan and implement the activities required by the Foundation to present, recommend and promote the programs and services to the persons concerned.
- In order to carry out the activities that have to be done by the Foundation and our business units and to carry out the related business processes.
- Planning and execution of the commercial and / or business strategies of the Foundation.
- Ensuring the legal, technical and commercial-occupational safety of the Foundation and the related persons who have business relations with the Foundation

3. Parties to Transfer Your Personal Data and Their Transfer Objectives
Your personal data, can be transferred to institutions, our business partners, suppliers, and legally authorized public institutions in accordance with the basic principles stipulated by the Law and in accordance with the personal data processing requirements and purposes set out in Articles 8 and 9 of the Law, shall be subject to the following purposes by the Foundation:
- In order to plann and execute human resources policies and processes of the Foundation
- In order to carry out work done by our business units and related business processes to enable the concerned persons to benefit from the services provided by the Foundation
- To plan and implement the activities required by the Foundation to present, recommend and promote the programs and services to the persons concerned.
- In order to carry out the activities that have to be done by the Foundation and our business units and to carry out the related business processes.
- Planning and execution of the commercial and / or business strategies of the Foundation.

4. The Method of Gathering Your Personal Data and Its Legal Reason
Your personal data can be collected and used to conduct activities of the Foundation and to comply with legislation and foundation policies on the basis of legal reasons. Your collected personal data may be processed and transferred for the purposes stated in this text in accordance with the personal data processing requirements and purposes set out in Articles 5 and 6 of the Act.
5. The Rights of the Personal Data Counted in Article 11 of the Act
As a personal data holder, you have the following rights under Article 11 of the Act:
- Learn whether your personal data has been processed,
- Demanding information if your personal data has been processed,
- To learn the purpose of processing your personal data and whether they are used appropriately,
- To know the third parties in which your personal data is transferred at home or abroad,
- If your personal data has been incorrectly processed, you can request your personal data to be corrected or, ask for the correction of your personal data to the third parties,
- Although it has been processed in accordance with the Law and other relevant provisions of the law, you can request the deletion or destruction of the personal data in case the reasons are no longer and you can request that the transaction made in this scope be notified to the third parties where your personal data is transferred,
- You can appeal against the result of an analysis of the processed data exclusively by means of automated systems,
- If you incur losses due to the unlawful processing of your personal data, you can request the removal of the damage.
You can send your application related to your rights listed above to the Foundation by filling out the Foundation Communication Form, which you can access on the Foundation’s web page. According to the nature of your request your application will be finalized for free as soon as possible and no later than 30 days.
