“Strengthening Human Values and the Dangers of Marginalization” Workshop was held between 29-30 November

The "Strengthening Human Values and the Dangers of Othering" workshop was held on 29-30 November in cooperation with the African Asian Universities Union (UAAU) and the Istanbul Science and Culture Foundation (IIKV).

In the program attended by heads of religious affairs, muftis, academics and scholars from various Islamic countries, opinions and suggestions on strengthening the cultures of people from different beliefs and cultures living together within the framework of humanitarian values and eliminating the dangers of marginalization were discussed.

In the opening speech of the conference, Said Yüce, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Istanbul Science and Culture Foundation, stated the following; "As Istanbul Science and Culture Foundation, we organize symposiums and conferences with universities from various countries of the world under the guidance of the Qur'an and Sunnah. While all the material and spiritual calamities in the world continue, unfortunately, the human values that are not suitable for the creation of humanity and recommended by their creator are not taken care of.

It is a great responsibility for all of us to eliminate the moral depressions and unrest that humanity is experiencing today, and to repair the spiritual destructions. Bediuzzaman Said Nursi, the great thinker, mujaddid and commentator of our century, with the inspiration he got from the Qur'an and the sunnah, offered medicine that will cure today's people from the pharmacy of the Qur'an. In his words, the biggest issue facing humanity is to win or lose eternal happiness.

If he tries to win this case with faith and ingenuity, all of the human values we seek are already present on this path."

At the end of his speech, Said Yüce shared the messages of our President and state officials.

At the end of the workshop, the following conclusion was published:

The source of human values is the Holy Quran and Sunnah.

Strengthening human values will be handled on the following basis.

The existence of human beings comes from a single father, and all of them are equal with servitude to the Almighty.

Discrimination, different race, color, language, these differences are the sunnah of Allah Almighty. Whether we want it or not, we have no chance of changing it, as Allah Almighty says in the verse, "I created you with different colors and different languages.". The difference may not be only in race or color, there are also differences in life and mentality, what we need to do is to know and accept that these differences are a part of life.

As humanity, we should benefit from the positive results of diversity.

In resolving differences with people who have different opinions, only dialogue should be used, and hostility and violence should never be used.

An annual workshop on spiritual values will be held between the Istanbul Science and Culture Foundation, the Afro-Asian Universities Union, and the Islamic Scholars Union.
