ISTANBUL WORKSHOP: 5D THINKING FOR TRANSFORMATIVE TEACHING CONTINUES WITH ITS 5TH AND 6TH PROGRAMS!
Following the successful completion of the third and fourth editions last year, the "Istanbul Workshop: 5D Thinking for Transformative Teaching", organized in collaboration with The Institute of Integrated Knowledge (IIK), will once again be held back-to-back in 2025. The first two workshops of 2025 are scheduled for April 5-9, 2025, and April 15-19, 2025.
As a continuation of previous workshops, this program continues to bring together educators from different parts of the world and offers a new epistemological perspective that goes beyond the dominant secular framework in science education. Using the 5D Thinking Approach, the workshop aims to provide educators with a new philosophy of science through the lens of the Tawhidic worldview.

One of the most valuable elements of educational institutions is their teaching staff, and the character development of students is directly shaped by their teachers. However, the secular ideology embedded in the curricula of both the Muslim and Western worlds has led to existential crises among some intellectuals. As a result, institutions engaged in character development and Islamization efforts within the Muslim world are signaling a new awakening in education. However, establishing a healthy connection between science and the verses of the Qur'an requires more than just faith and character development; it also demands awareness of materialist ideology and a clear framework for teaching science from a Tawhidic perspective. This workshop aims to provide a comprehensive approach to meet this need.
The program will not only present a theoretical and conceptual framework but will also delve into the practical application of the 5D Thinking Approach. Participants will be expected to design at least one 5D topic during the workshop. Additionally, they will be encouraged to implement this method in their schools and curricula and to share their findings in the following year’s program.
We believe this workshop will be highly beneficial for teachers, educators, and school administrators interested in science education from a Tawhidic worldview perspective.
